The last panel brings up a classic question: Do you know where to place the eyes because you were told a rule to follow, or because you see it clearly in your mind, and you naturally know? And is that the difference between an artist and a techinal illustrator?
I thought Nancy’s dialogue today was great! However, I was kind of hoping for Aunt Fritzi to have been drawing a “Gilchristish” version of herself. To me, it would have spoken volumes about today’s subject. But, the “eye position” last panel worked well too!

I was strangely disappointed that Fritzi’s drawing wasn’t an early draft from this comic.

At least the eyes aren’t as low as where a lot of boys look.

This is a really funny comic. I would say it is a great “gag”, but it is much more than that.

Well if you don’t want your critters gawked at or touched don’t make your barn look like a petting zoo.

Aunt Fritzi resolved to return her copy of “How To Draw Marvel Comics the Pablo Picasso Way”.
