“Call up” the map online? Sure thing, grampa.

Plum Hollow definitely sounds like a place where some shady business is conducted.

That’s a typo in the lettering — the course is Plumb Hollow, named after Jethro Bodine’s description of feeling hungry.

So Gil drove them over to wherever this event was held? (I’m too lazy to look it up.) By the way, is it really a tournament if it’s one round? I see that a lot with charity golf outings.

P1, You think it’s ugly now, wait until Gil gets done with you.

P2, Unless you get a lot closer to 75 you two won’t qualify anyway.

P3, Gil wants to find out what the beer cart girls look like.

Brilliant, Gil, we’ll use that top-secret internet thing that none of the other golfers can use to save a few strokes. Barry Bader rarely saves strokes, himself. Though Marcus Welby saved a few FROM strokes.

P3- What GilPa meant to say is dial up the Plum Hollow course online. Perhaps they can find out what kind of critters hang at that track by asking Thorp’s cousin, Ellie Mae Thorp.

Well, these guys must be pretty darn good golfers to be “second year” players and already be scoring in the low 80’s and be tournament ready; As for myself, I had to practice chipping and putting for 2 years alone and then spend a lot of time on the driving range before I even attempted to play a real course. After that, it was at least three or four years before I broke 90, and that still didn’t happen that often. But then again, this IS Milford, sigh……

Did Gil make sure they’re holding the end with the rubber tip? That always helps.

After all these years I discover I could lower my score if I only knew a courses layout! 120 here I come!!

They’re heading to Plum Hollow? That course is within a half hour of me. What day is the tournament, I’m going to go watch. Hopefully Gil will drive the kids there, maybe I can get his autograph.
