Every now and then on the PGA tour a ball ends up in a hospitality tent and they play it from there. Here’s two: Matt Jones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42jIMxIZ-B4
Thirty years ago when I was looking to buy my first house the realtor took me to one on a golf course. She had just finished telling me that errant golf balls weren’t really that much of a problem and that it should be covered by homeowners insurance. Before I could ask her my next question an “errant” ball came crashing through the window of the room we were in. I didn’t buy the house, however it’s one of my favorite stories to tell. And I bet she’s still telling that story too!
When I was living in Florida, I did have friends foolish enough to buy homes adjacent to a golf course.
One guy I knew, killed two birds with one stone, he had high-impact glass installed on all his windows and saved a ton on his home owners insurance. The glass not only protected against errant golf balls and flying golf clubs, but also from hurricanes ( a frequent occurrence in his neck of the woods ).

Would you like for me to hold a wrapping paper tube so you can aim better? Just shoot the ball down the tube.

Another “Drive-by” in the news. Very upsetting, but I guess they’ll iron things out.
