In elementary, I liked school fairly well, although I still preferred to be playing outside or reading what I wanted to read. In seventh grade, I began to dislike school intensely until it developed into a full-blown hate in my senior year.
Ironically, I became a teacher for the school district in which I grew up. My primary motivation: Don’t be like most of the teachers I had had.
