many years ago the law regarding drinking in public here was ‘you can drink on your property only’. I owned two lots and wandered into my side lot with a beer and the local summer cop got all up in my face about leaving the property with alcohol. He never did like me after that when a year round cop stopped and explained the facts of life to him. Fortunately after the summer was gone so was the cop.
Although the laws may have changed, but as a kid when visiting a drive on the sand beach on the north shore of lake Erie, my parents needed to hang a big blanket from the top of the car out to two poles to stay legal . . . Plus it afforded some nice shade.
Just today on one of the Facebook cruise groups I am in, Somebody asked if they were able to take a bottle of spirit in their suitcase on board the ship!
I read that the bars on the cruise ship I’m travelling on try their best to keep the same prices of drinks as regular pubs.

While looking thru the knothole in Grandpa’s wooden leg, why do they build the shore so near the ocean.
