There has been a pair of turkey vultures in my area for a few years now. Superb ‘soarers’. Welcome aboard Ms. Mosco.

one day, i drove around a corner and had to slam on my brakes. a turkey vulture and a cat were having a confrontation over some roadkill in the middle of the road.

Turkey vultures. They must be one of the ugliest birds around.

Thank heavens for turkey vultures and the like. Without them we’d be up to our eyeballs in rotting animal corpses.

Turkey Vultures are truly not the most attractive bird around up close, but from a distance when in flight they are magnificent! Know we know they are beautiful on the inside as well! Welcome Welcome and I’m looking forward to more!

Those buzzards are all over southern Maryland. Living on the water they compete with seagulls for the dead fish. Ah the pleasant smells and squawks of sea life. Or death. :P
