Hi all, I just want to ask for supportive hugs, prayers, thoughts, orb bumps and boops for our dear Orbster Shaunnmunn who’s not well right now. Her spirit is swallowed up in sadness these days and she needs the healing power of the Mega Orb. Thanks! (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Shaunnmunn and all)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I thought it would be cool to see a pirate with a cuckoo clock on his shoulder instead of a parrot. Can you imagine, say, at 3 o’clock this bird with a red bandanna pops out and says; “pieces of eight, pieces of eight, pieces of eight…”

    I didn’t see a mailman.

I didn’t even see anything that could have been a human in a mailman costume.

This has all the hallmarks of turning into a slap fest with Lupin laughing cheerily on. We need Tommy on the scene to help settle all this for good

Then again, I was making dinner last night and- while I was standing over the oven- the smiling demon climbed up my back (yes, from the floor) and settled on my shoulders across the back of my neck- a kind of catwrap, if you will. So now I’m thinking the pirate should have a cat on his shoulder, complete with a 3-cornered hat and an eyepatch. (Wait… too “Puss in Boots?” What if the cat had a parrot on its shoulder?)

Up til now, I think Lupin’s had his back to it every time the $%#@& bird has sprung out and attacked Puck and Elvis. I think next hour, they need to tackle Lupin, spin him around and then we’ll see who’s laughing.

So Tre-C and Megan ate and enjoyed this fine, warm pork platter, and when they were done Tre-C made sure Jimmy new how much she appreciated it by rubbing her forehead all around his pantlegs. Megan looked at her and made a sound like “pffft”- to both Tre-C’s ears and the Human’s.Then Megan lowered her body almost to the floor and rocked back and forth on her haunches. And sprung into Jimmy’s arms from a distance of about five feet. Jimmy just stepped back on his heels and caught her, then draped her over his right arm and gave her a noogie with his left hand. Megan lowered her ears and wrapped her front arms around his wrist. Then Megan bit Jimmy of the back of the hand with about the same force as a kitten would. Megan would explain later she believed Jimmy loved it. “What can I say… I really think he likes me to bite him. Gently, though- no blood.”

    Dear Mega Orb!

Your kindness (and yours especially SweetBri & Kat) has meant the world to me. Had a whammy on my psyche last week that released a lot of deeply buried stuff. Mind you, it has done nothing to shake my faith, but did make me retreat from a lot of stimuli to pull myself together.

Have lost relatives to suicide, and while I think I am not in the dark, despairing place they must have been, I am going to get help. I have some miracles to keep me afloat — gifts beyond price! I have a great Hubby & Sis, a kitty named Dusty who depends on me, and the Mega Orb!

One thing is certain, the longer I stayed away from BCN, the worse I felt!

Depression is an insidious evil, as many of you have attested. Some of you are still warriors in the battle for yourselves or loved ones. Others have known the pain when a loved one loses the struggle.

But! I think most have known the sweet relief of victory! It exudes from this blog like verdant growth after rain. This IS the best place to be!Blessings & love to you all! And a world of thanks and love to the sweet lady, from whose hands & heart this is all possible! Where would we be without our Georgia?

    With deep affection, >^.,.^<

    KITTEN UPDATE

Both boys are becoming more and more socialized. They still scamper away when we open the screen door into the bathroom, but not far and not fast. They allow themselves to be picked up with no fuss and don’t try to escape.

They now spend some time looking out through the screen door and don’t flee when a human walks past. They are expressing interest in the other cats and that is being reciprocated.

The biggest advance has been Elvis. Pick him up, cuddle a bit. Set him down on the counter but stay close, and he stays right there with Lisa. If she stops petting, he circles in and head buts, rubs his face on her, etc.

I know kittens are easier to socialize than an adult feral, but I think we have been very lucky so far. They are coming along much faster than we had hoped.

Next week: RELEASE THE HOUNDS….errr….kittens. Barring any setbacks, we plan to open the door next week and let them join the general population, access the entire house, etc.

Ha Ha Ha! “SCURRY FOR YOUR LIVES!!!” is definitely being added to my cache (catche!) of catch phrases (or don’t catch me phrases). Sorry…this really tickled me! Reminds me of “activating liquid form”…“army crawl army crawl”! https://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news/2017/05/24

Though I think a scurry requires immediate movement and no time for transformation beyond the POOF!!! Thank you Georgia!!!

It’s a good day. The return of the (alleged) cuckoo, the mailman hypothesis, and Puck’s poofy tail. I love how Georgia’s signature almost seems like an extension of Puck’s tail. And we have seen how this online community / orb can provide caring thoughts and human connection. Best wishes to you Shaunmunn. Also anyone else who needs a “jump start.” I’m taking all of this into my heart.

It’s “letter carrier”. Just ask my grandfather (except he died in 1979) who was one from 1916 – 1963 with time out to serve with the AEF in France in 1917 and 1918.
