I had one dog (shepherd/collie mix – 55 lbs) that would spread out her legs to try and keep me from getting her into the shower. She would try to get out the entire time. Once done, she would run around the house like a puppy all happy.
The clouds are magic. Their power is awesome. They can hide the sun, cast lightning bolts with a thunder boom that will shake houses and send down winds that destroy all in their paths. Sometimes they look like bunnies.
My dogs (I’ve had 4) loved getting baths. A Japanese Spitz (looks a LOT like an American Eskimo, but completely different bloodline and thus not recognized by AKC) would turn from full dog into nothingness in the shower. Same with my husky (he loved being showered, hated being blow-dried, and loved being vacuumed). And the labs? Water and labs go together. You’d get a good half an hour of play with a spray nozzle. Just remember to let them pee before letting them back in and they’d nap the rest of the day.
We’d used to use a kiddie pool to wash them in, but in the end, it turns out it’s easier to just bring them to the bathroom and use the shower head. Plus, it’s cruel to wash them in winter with cold water. Bathroom showering lets you use warm water which they absolutely enjoyed when it was freezing outside. And yes, the skill is to wash everything but the tops of their head – get the top of the head wet and they’ll shake. But keep it dry and you can clean the snout and rest of the face.
