My lady friend and her grown son do this all the time at restaurants. I can’t wait for the end of plastic straws.

You will always have movie theaters. Not nice drinking from a cup while seeing a movie.

My dad’s already told me all the fun he used to have with paper straws. His “good ol days” are coming back, and I can’t wait to try them out myself!

Yes, I remember the days of paper straws! I am hoping they make a resurgence. It’s still nice to drink from a straw, but my husband and I are refusing the plastic straws in restaurants.

What’s fun about paper straws?

We used to go to soda shop, dip end of paper cover in milk shake and launch them into the ceiling tiles. Owner quit cleaning the ceiling and let us do it in one part of the store. I got to be good with spit balls. Can’t get pea shooters anymore either.

Is $tarbucks going to eliminate the plastic lid on their coffee and get a cup that will actually be recyclable? One lid equals how many straws. Sounds like just being PC not ecologically responsible.

There was an old movie with Chris Rock where he didn’t have enough money for a cup or straw so he asked the restaurant guy just to pour the soda into his hands! Pretty soon, they’ll be shooting things into our mouths with bar soda-pistols!

And of course the people who actually NEED a straw for various medical reasons will be out of luck.
