Surfer: Complaints to the chef are made for his cooking and prep, so he isn’t dodging any critics this way. You can ask the judges at Iron Chef or Top Chef.
Given the huge spike coming shortly in food prices, it might be the only way restaurants can stay in business and the only way the consumer will be able to afford it.
free, doncha just love the drive-in? We go to one in PA a little ways north of Allentown several times a season. Double feature movies, a very reasonably priced concession stand, and occasional special events like car shows and fireworks and such. And an all night movie marathon on the Sunday just before Labor Day.
And btw, where in lower MI are ya? Got some relatives in Morenci, which is so lower MI it’s almost in Ohio.
Tony Sheffler’s home town? About five counties over to the Ind. border side in Branch. Half way between Chicago and Det. where they had the best little W-houses in the country a century ago.

There are restaurants where you not only bring your own steaks, but you cook them yourself. They supply the grills and seasonings.

Or they hand you a “raw’ pizza and you take it home and cook it.

Psuedo: If your wife wants to borrow my wife’s deep purse let me know. We used to bring in popcorn, candy and a bottle of [pop to drink.
I DID once see a couple grilling in the back of their truck at the drive-in. (We still have the only one in lower MI just down the street.)
