Actually, the first sign is reflected in the window Ruthie is looking out of. And Mr. Detorie’s name is over a store on the other side of the street (behind Ruthie).
Cute strip, I like it when Ruthie says something that makes her mother dread what the next sentence will be. And then she says something that is from a child’s perspective.
I think the One Big Happy sign is on the building. Going from the strip scene in to the building you see Rick Detorie. From the other side you see the sign “One Big Happy” upon entering the strip scene.
