1 in 160… I don’t know what’s hardest to believe. A country so small and needy that just one movie can employ two hundredths of its population or a movie so large that can employ two hundredths of a country’s population? Isn’t Hollywood out of control? (rhetorical question :D )
The salt was used on the roads. But, cars and other Summer toys are stored there in the Winter. I thought it was odd to store a car in salt. They claim it moisture is low there. The salt mines are also under Lake Erie.

anyone recall seeing an ad on YouTube or somewhere about a gun that shoots ordinary table salt at houseflies? I bet it works on skeeters as well

I got sick and tired of flies in the house and got an indoor bug zapper. Everytime I hear a SNAP!, I smile.

We got a bug light/zapper for a wedding present. I think it was invented by Thomas Larva Edison (that’s what the card said).

Given New Zealand’s population at the time, that is more than 25,000 people. Big payroll.
