Many years ago a co-worker was dating three different girls named Brenda. They would call the office quite often and if he was not there (which was usually the case) they would leave a message with the receptionist, “Have him call Brenda when he comes in”. They never would leave a last name. That went on for a couple of months until they figured out what he was doing. He was one of these fellows that for some reason girls chased him and he kept stringing at least two along all the time.
Barb has gone on some type of business trip so they have not been seeing each other. Elena is the one he met after Barb left, and he started to call her Barb and not Elena. We had a hurricane named Elena here on the gulf coast a few years ago. I was married to a gal named Brenda. Whenever she made me mad I would call her by my first wife’s name, Linda. She did not appreciate it at all.
