The original song had one racist verse that the singers have been trying for years to put behind them. And in that spirit, I will not quote it.

I was always partial to Rolf Harris’s Christmas tune – with the big white boomers pulling Santa’s sleigh – but I guess he’s blacklisted now too.

I’ll have a Coopers and a cheese sanger mate!

There was a red-back on the toilet seat when I was there last night,

I didn’t see him in the dark, but boy I felt his bite,

And now I’m here in hospital, a sad and sorry sight,

And a curse the red-back spider on the toilet seat last night!

Some of my family live in Sydney, Australia….even better, 2 of them moved here a few years ago and settled in Brooklyn! Their Aussie cats now MEOW with Brooklyn accents! PS I had shrimp for lunch.

This has been so much fun!
