Ah yes the “Medicare Handbook” came yesterday. Do the government types really think anyone reads this stuff ? When it is written in gobblity-goop a language I do not speak or write :-(
All I keep is my pharmacy receipts and being on pension I don’t get a tax refund, just a credit so they’re not much use to keep. Yep the maligned Canadian evil socialized medicine empire.
Every month Humana sends us 12 pages that could easily be reduced to 1 page. One page is just how to get the information in 20 different languages. Ridiculous. I can’t find a way to get it electronically.

It’s that lovely time of year when every provider starts flooding your mailbox with offers for a couple weeks.

It’s an age when people slow down and faculties begin to fade that they are inundated with forms and technicalities to keep track of and comply with.

After 3 – 5 years you should only keep the annual statements. Not every little thing.

A real plugger would wipe out an old 5 gallon grease pail and use that.. no need to purchase newfangled boxes

A smart plugger will go to Staples and buy a scanner and a shredder.

I have a binder from my surgery in 2015, with all the lawyer info and workmans comp claims, it’s about 6" thick.
