For those who want to know what “proof” is: Proof is a measure of alcohol content, in the United States it is twice the percentage. Therefore whiskey that is, “a hundred proof” is 50% alcohol by volume.
Looked at a can of beer the other day that said “Alcohol 7% by volume.” Don’t think I’ve ever seen any other that high. Mostly they just say 5 or 5.5%.
