Puck’s sweater has fish on it! And he’s cuddling Buzzy Mouse!

Second-to-last panel makes me wonder if Lupin has heard the story of the Vanishing Hitchhiker. But poor scared Pucky!

This is so adorable and I especially love that last panel with Puck all happy about the Mailman. :D Kitty Campfire Stories! I wish I could join them!

I love it- they’re making s’mores on a space heater! And Lupin…. HAUNTED TOE BEANS!

Puck’s story is about l’amour. Is he getting ideas from watching “Our IX Lives?”

I wish I could pull out a space heater. It’s still hot and humid around my area.

I really like Lupin’s look in the second panel. Very spooky.

The cocoa/coffee pot looks like something out of “Gunsmoke.”

Panel 6 is an actual horror story to the comic I read just before this one – “Texts From Mittens”.

In the last panel, Georgia should be saying “Ay-yah”, not “Yep”. :-)

I like the space heater’s “face”, as if it’s listening to the stories too.

That’s right, Elvis. The sensible cat told the others “Don’t go into the basement.” but did they listen to him? NO. And we all know what happened to them then!

“Isn’t that supposed to be ‘Bon Appetit’?” Tre-C asked as soon as Mr. Nibbles was out of hearing range. “Yes… yes, it is. He’s an American cat, little one, in spite of his efforts. Besides, he may have just been feeling us out to get our reaction. I won’t judge him for that”. “Oh, so you didn’t mean that little giggle?” “Gracious, no, Kitten. He registers about a 4 on the genuine charm scale. But again, I won’t hold that against him. Now, let’s have some seafood- honestly, it looks quite good.” Tre-C wanted to know something first, though. She had already tasted the sardines and was eyeing the caviar, but- looking at the salmon- she asked; “ I have to admit, I’ve never had ‘herbe aux chats’ before. What’s it like?” Megan laughed heartily and honestly- she knew the little tabby would probably not know; “Kitten, herbe aux chats is just what the French call catnip.”

Elvis looks a bit like a toasted marshmallow in his sweater.

“Just gather round and I’ll elucidate. On what goes one when it gets late….”

Okay, gotta watch that now.

What is the mystery behind the green collar? It makes even Elvis gasp! And yet Puck is unlikely to tell a scary story. The bit about the sweater gives him the shivers. Lupin is trying for the real horror in the last frame, but it misfires with Puck.

And if people listened to the sensible cat, there wouldn’t be any horror stories.

“…. and suddenly the crazed cat appeared behind the campers SCREECHING and GROWLING and HISSING and whipping its hooked tail at them!”

Fish sweaters, Buzzy Mice and Mailman stories! Puck Heaven!

I recognize the story in panel five! Spoiler: the collar is keeping her head on! :o

So many little details! Cushions, fuzzy blankets, (I thought at first they were sleeping bags until I saw Puck’s single back paw protruding from the bottom in the last panel) flashlight, graham crackers, marshmallows (with a little red clip holding the bag closed so they don’t get stale), roasting sticks, s’mores, enamel ware cups and coffeepot, lantern, warm sweaters and scary stories! Puck’s poofy tail, Lupin’s scary fangs and claws, Elvis’s pedantic stories, and the ever faithful Buzzy mouse! The only thing missing is a guitar!

Ms. Dunn, your drawing details are very clever… Keep it up.

It was 88°F yesterday…about 10°F above normal….

Aw :) We have a new one this year that looks like a little fireplace, so far it’s a hit even if the heat isn’t on. They like the flickering lights.

A camp out with ghost stories, hot coco and smores…Excellent. Lupin, Cat Of Adventure, is a natural story teller. All those exploits provide hours of fun tales for his two best friends. But don’t make them too scary, our Pucky will have day-mares.

Good morning and happy Bunday, orbsters and orbabies. We are enjoying our time at the cabin, it will be our last time up this year.

As for Pam, the latest news I have is that except for that hand movement the other day, she is still unresponsive. If I understood correctly, the doctors said there is a “mass” in her brain, along with some bleeding, and she will be evaluated for "quality of life ", whatever that means in her neck of the woods.

I am very, very worried about her.

My cat Camo loved yogurt and ice cream and knew the difference between the two, because he’d change his mind as to which one he purrfurred!!!

Is it me, or does the space heater seem to be yawning at the stories, until the Mailman was brought up? All of a sudden it seems to be reacting in horror. Another Georgia triumph of tiny details!

Do the boys even need ghost stories after the experience with Tillie & Freddie?

Thats a big coffee pot. Can you imagine cats in caffeine?

Sensible cat? I suppose if you factor in feline impulse control to set a baseline…

Oh, mere words are inadequate!

I heard every one of these stories as a kid.

I just had a really crazy, unrelated thought. As Goo-Ga as people here (me too!) go for “toe beans”, wouldn’t it be GREAT of Georgia could find someone to help her develop and market JELLY/CANDY TOE BEANS??? (No, I’m not any crazier than usual. Hear me out, here!)

Just think, specific flavors and colors, each for a specific charatcer. Like, “Elvis Toe Beans” I imagine as tan and brown, with a spiciness like cinnamon. Puck could be black, with a surprising, warm sweetness of maple and brown sugar. And Lupin could be white, but banana flavored, because he can be completely bananas!

Other characters, too. Ideas, anyone? Other thoughts for these three? How about Tommy color/flavors? Others?

Let’s hear your ideas, Mega Orb!

While we’re at it, maybe something similar, but as cat treats?

Lupin almost looks like he’s gone feral. That’s a horror unto itself. A good narrator must be in character I suppose.

We have a wood burning stove up here for an auxiliary heat source. Underneath there is room for the cats to all get under head to tail and get warm. when one is stroked it starts to purr, and in a few minutes they are all purring. this is going to be our first winter up here in years. Looking forward to it.

Some of the floors in the castle have in-floor radiant heat tubing. Last week the weather turned and it was time to fire up the boiler.

Which brings a seasonal shift in cat sleeping and lounging spots. Warm stone floors littered with elongated cats. Watch your step.

About 6 hours ago Mudd said (in response to ppyfss’s situation),The toons here on gocomics helped me,after my stroke-like experience. Typing and a good laugh at myself and others. Peace and good luck ppyfss. I got back much of my hand eye coordination playing Solitaire. Computers can be a help for some.

In my house it’s an electric blanket instead of a space heater.

So cute! Not sure if the space heater likes ghost stories, it looks a bit sad :(I love the arms raised yay! from Pucky.

This is just so many levels of awesome! 1. SWEATERS!!! Too cute! 2. They each have their own story styles (and of course Puck’s is more sweet than scary) 3. The spin on the classic “hook for a hand” is too perfect. The list goes on and on!

I love absolutely everything about this — the scary stories (cat versions), the s’mores, the flashlight under the chin, the sweaters!

One of the most adorable ever. Pucky melted my heart with his mailman “Yay!” And they all made me LOL. Georgia, I don’t know how you do it! And keep doing it!

I just noticed that the “ball-of-yarn” network logo has been appearing – seems to be there regularly for Sunday broadcasts (when there’s a bit more cartooning real estate available)

I’ve seen readers calling this month ‘Pucktober’ and I LOVE THAT SO MUCH! AHHH! Happy Pucktober, everyone!!!

The Collar one reminds me of this story of this guy who married a girl with a ribbon around her neck, and on her death bed, she let him remove the ribbon, and her head fell off.

For a while, my daughter lived with two cats in an old house with a very noisy gas heater added to the side of the living room. Almost every time the heater started up, one of the two cats would come running into the room and flop down on his back in front of the heater. When the short heat cycle ended, he would go back to whatever he was doing before.
