how can he actually talk when he’s got his mouth wide open and she’s cleaning his teeth? Usually you answer all your hygienist’s small talk questions with “aah uuuh oh eh”
One more thing: when masks ARE used, they go over the mouth AND the nose. The nose is an entry/exit point just like the mouth. Not grousing at you so much, Brian, so much as at the ignorant airline passengers who don’t know how to use their oxygen masks despite having it demonstrated EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY GET ON A PLANE!!!

A good pretext, but your teeth will be ruined more and more, and you will have greater pain later!!

Funny and cute indeed.Over here, dental hygienists only clean your teeth. That could be changing, though.

My current dentist actually does most of the work during a cleaning and check-up, but I’ve seen dentists in the past like the one Red is describing.

I didn’t know they had dental hygienists in the 60’s. Every dentist I saw did everything.

Interesting. Thought spit sinks went away in the 50’s. Also, don’t recall them (or dentists) wearing surgical masks until relatively recently.
