Well if us humans could smell like a dog we would want to check things out also ! But if you got to go you got to go. Maybe someday houses will be built with dog bathrooms…..cats have litterboxs :-)
We have 4 rescue dogs. Three will go bathroom without walking. (we have a fenced in backyard) Two like to be walked anyway (especially one) and one refuses to go unless desperate or walked in the front yard only.
Our new (well, just a little over a year) little guy is a morning dog — happily prancing around with his toys, looking for a game while my husband is having breakfast and I"m trying to become sentient. On the other hand, by 9 pm he’s out cold, flat on his side.

I can’t relate; never owned a dog.

That dog is really looking out for him. A little exercise is a good way to start the day right.

I suspect for many Pluggers, the dog walks are 95% of their exercise program, is for me.

I have found that strangers tend to wave “good morning” at an old man walking his dog.

Yes, he does. Because of my dog I get a nice walk every day- rain, moonshine, or snow.

At least they didn’t draw a dog walking a dog.
