No, my boy, kale is different. Kale is physically good for you in a nutritional sense. Heartbreak is not physically good for you. It is psychically necessary for you to grow up, so in that sense it becomes “good for you.” But you made an analogy. Your English teacher would be pleased. A bad analogy, but ………….. baby steps.

Believe me, it won’t be any type of “good for you” for some time.

I wonder what’ll happen when he sees her with another boy in a few weeks? Anger and resentment probably. Not healthy.

UGH!!! Anybody else frustrated with Toby? Instead of coming back with a smart aleck remark, why not try to talk to Sheila and maybe try to save the relationship. It’s like he doesn’t even care. I fought for every relationship which mattered to me. Heck, I even fought for the one I shouldn’t have.

Forget it, Tobias; that’s a win-win for her (she loses you but, since you’re being nice & friendly, nobody thinks badly of her for dumping you) and it’s a lose-lose for you (you don’t have a girlfriend, and she rubs your face in it every day). Go listen to the Four Seasons’ :Walk Like A Man" and grow a pair.

This is one reason most high school girls date someone older, because girls mature sooner than boys.

Toby needs to learn that life is not.. all about him.

Why is everyone down on Toby. She chose to start the relationship knowing who he is, and is now dumping him. I can accept all of that as the normal run for a relation that age. But Toby is hurting and all she can think of is herself…“don’t make it uncomfortable for ME!”.

There is also the third option where they completely ignore each other, never ever getting to talk again.

Lol. Yes she is more mature because she broke up with him. Were it the other way around….well the old saying “Hell hath No Fury” comes into effect. Let’s be honest here.
