Uh, maybe teach one of the linemen to snap the ball?

NOT totally new to a soccer player… Again, the lack of knowledge by the writers affects the strip. Defenders (to clear a ball from near their goal, without using their hands) and especially goalies “punt” on a regular basis. Australian rules football has sent MANY punters to “American football,” so just because someone comes from a different sport does not mean they don’t know how to do kicking in “our” game.

Sheesh. A good punter’s rare at the high school level. SO TEACH SOMEONE TO LONG SNAP.

Placekicker Freddy Foulmouth is telling Gil something he should already know.

P1, That isn’t even a shotgun snap at that distance.

P2, Is he fast? Maybe he can snap it to himself.

P3, Oh, good, Gil poaches another soccer player. So is he the placekicker, the punter or both? If both, wouldn’t that make him the kicker, period?

P1 Conundrum dats a big word for Gil baby. By the way it is easier to find a long snapper than a good punter. Gil’s solution will be for Sam Finn to snap to himself and that is my definition of a real conundrum!!! P2 Nobody wears cleats that long anymore, they do have him wearing modern length pants though. P3 Gil you can’t punt with your knee!!!

In all reality , the so called Conundrum Gil has should have been known at the end of last season and certainly could have been adressed during summer workouts .Sorry Ì forgot Gil was busy çleaning up cheating on the Junior Golf Tour and didn’t have time for his football team .

P2- #62 Sam Finn, son of Mickey Finn. Linemen pants ALWAYS cover their knees. P3- GilPa knows all about punting. After all, he kicked Keri, Jami and Fang out of his life.

It’s awesome that Milford is obviously so stacked this year that their only concern is if Sam should do the long snaps or punt. Playdowns here we come!

Sam Finn’s also the best potential Rockette on the team this year.

P1 – Sam’s jersey magically flips the number “2” of his number 62 when he bends over to snap the ball.

P3 – Gil starts teaching his team to goose step? And some of his past players called him a dictator, people thought they were exaggerating.

I hear Joe Bolek used to be a great punter. Or a great long snapper. Possibly both. He was renowned for his punting/long snapping proficiency in junior high until that fateful day when the team’s mascot, a magical fetching peacock named Milly, chased an errant punt into the path of a speeding pickup truck (driver unknown) thus joining Boo, Jaybird, and that kid with Marfan’s syndrome in the annals of dead Milfordians. Joe vowed never to punt or long snap again and decided to dedicate his life to sitting in the family den binge watching independent fims. Fin.

Forget punting, Gil. Always go for it on fourth down, even if you’re 30 yards back.

P1- Snapping for dunderheads 101. When following through, rotating the pigskin in a spiral rotation, the snapper’s fingers on both hands should be pointing outward. Snapping was fun until unnecessary roughness was experienced. Alright you Joe Snarkys, I tossed you a grapefruit, now hit it outta the park.

Finn, easily most popular man in the shower based on his stance in P1, regardless of his finger position, bear. Fred Malouf needs to pay attention to the snapper.

Alternate dialog for panel three: “Now! back when I was a Rockette, before the change of course, this is how we kicked!”
