Sorry, never went to Six Flags myself. The closest state amusement parks I’ve been to are Wild Waves in Federal Way, Washington and Lagoon in Farmington, Utah.
I have been to two 6 flags. I went to the original in Texas back when I was in college. I was editor in chief of the yearbook and the company that printed it was located in Dallas. We went there to proofread the book and among other entertaining by the yearbook rep was a trip to 6 flags – that was the mid 1970s and it was the only one at that time. I went to the NJ one shortly after it opened – also decades ago.
Husband and I do not go on the rides – he suffers from motion sickness and I from fear of heights and speed. We used to like to go to Busch Gardens, The Old Country in Williamsburg.Va as there was much to do (including a tour of the beer factory) there, while not going on the rides (okay, we went on the train, the go kart cars, and sometimes he would talk me into going on the ski lift ride – we went every summer for probably a couple of decades. They then changed the activities there and it was no longer worth going. (We were once trapped in the factory. A storm came up and they could not run the ride back to the park and we were stuck there for awhile.
Here’s the big question – do you know which 6 flags are the 6 flags that are referenced? They have all flown over Texas.

I live 6 miles outside of 6 Flags Great Adventure…last time I visited was for my daughter’s 8th grade class graduation party. About 32 years ago.

By far the best rides are the ones you get on for the first time and say why did I do this, why did I do this, why did I do this! Woohoo
