I don’t think I’ve even thought of that song for more than a quarter century, and I just recited the whole song to myself. And I’m not even a baseball fan! PS—I’m content to wait another quarter century to do it again. Sorry, guys.
Don’t forget Neil Diamond crooning “Sweet Caroline” EVERY TIME a team changes pitchers – and I would challenge lamecrow2012s evaluation of “20 minutes of action”. I defy anyone to come up with anything approaching 20 minutes of action in a game that has as one of its highlights, admiring the ‘artistry’ of the groundskeepers in their Outfield Mowing patterns!
If you can get Cubs home games on TV or radio they sing this song in the middle of the 7th. Sometimes they feature an old clip of Harry Carey singing it.

Ever since 9/11 it has been replaced by God Bless America, which I feel is kind of overdoing the faux patriotism.

Why? Because it’s a feel-good song everyone still thinks they can sing after a beer or two.
