I see that size does matter in the yapping game. Perhaps Darwinism had a hand in things. I mean if your German Shepard dog ‘yapped’, I’m thinking it might not be encouraged to multiply. Particularly by your neighbors.
I have to add that “baying hounds” are a phenomenon all their own. I hadn’t heard one in 8 or 9 years when I lived in the city, but I recently returned to the country. I was walking by a truck and didn’t see the dog at first, but that mournful sound about made me jump out of my skin! My SIL was laughing at me! So I referred her to read “Hound of the Baskervilles” (Sherlock Holmes story), which she had never heard of. :-)

The bigger dogs tend to go to obedience class. The other is for pretend confidence. The two don’t work together. No wonder so many are very confused.
