if cats (and squirrels and mailmen) weren’t around, Poncho would still ask the “why am I here?” question

The universe has never sent me something to bark at. Maybe I’m not asking properly.

What no tail wags to go with that “Bark” ?

I never saw a Purple Cat,

I never hope to see one;

But I can tell you that

I’d rather see than be one

Poncho sees answers from the Universe. I suppose that is as good a philosophic answer as the others. Maybe a little sophisty-ish, but pure Poncho.
