and dry skin and chapped lips. Walking across the carpet and petting your dog or cat and zapping them and they look at you like “what did I do?”

Fancy that… I saw some static electricity flying in the sky just a couple hours ago. (OK, yes, I know that technically the fact that I saw it in the sky means that it was no longer “static”, but still…)

Yep, it sure is hell on cats, I can tell you that much. One of mine gets so shock-shy this time of year that he stops giving me head-butts during the family greeting time after work.

Time to break out the balloons.

I still remember the painful shocks I’d get opening the door of my old Dodge Aries. Most car doors are staticey in dry winters but that one seemed to be trying to kill me.

I always forget how much doorknobs hurt. Zap!
