Sid, you’re being all happy and giggling and such! Don’t forget, you’re a prisoner here and the bad guy (McCavity) is forcing you to do this! You’re not supposed to enjoy it. He might think you’re not afraid of him or something!

I can relate to Sid. Some people love learning and accomplishment more than anything, such that it surpasses their fear of death. It looks like this is the first time Sid has seen his spirit, so he’s more excited than usual.

That worked! The magpie is adorable.

Trivia alert, Trivia alert. Back in the day Hello was like Wow or OMG! Al Bell wanted people to answer the phone, Ahoy Hoy! You might have seen this in a commercial that played recently. When Edison was introduced to the phone and it rang he went HELLO! in surprise as Sydney does here! He is attributed with popularizing HELLO as a greeting.

I think Sid has forgotten slightly why he is there in the first place. Better get his mind back on the issue at hand, not on sweet little Lei

So here’s the question I want answered: how did Sid get attached to this malform magpie in the first place? I mean, why specifically him?
