Have had snow in Cheyenne, but my lilacs and mulberries are still green, the silver maple also still has its leaves, and another tree is out of leaves but still has a bunch of seed pods attached to every branch. Hoping the city will extend compost bin pickup beyond its past November 1 stop date.
When my library was physical, “The Fall of Freddy the Leaf” was on hand to explain death to children. Now in my basement just because it’s a beautiful piece of writing.

Well, here in lower Michigan we will probably start raking in December.

Why don’t leaves spring back up into the trees when the snow melts away?

We still have most of our leaves here in central PA. Of course, we haven’t really had a frost yet.
Good morning Crew!

Our leaves like to fall in waves. Rake up one wave, here comes another.
