Don’t let Kenny see you – he’ll like the walking bag of bones!

Don’t own one but I ’ve met several and all they have wanted to do was cuddle and get belly rubs! Pitties have a really bad rep!

In the ’70s they blamed Dobermans,

in the ’80s they blamed German Shepherds,

in the ’90s they blamed the Rottweiler.

Now they blame the Pit Bull.

When will they blame the humans?

Check the stats of people killed by dogs. Pit bulls and PB mixes killed over 60%. Of those, 47% killed someone in their own household. Many had never shown signs of aggression before.

In this case, I’m glad for the sterotype. I love my pit bulls and I want you to stay here!

Stereotypes occur for reasons, yes a lot of pitbulls are nice, but a large percentage of damaging attacks by dogs are Pitbull attacks. Also several countries, including England have outlawed the breed. If you absolutely have to have one, you should be required to carry a large insurance policy incase your dog is one that has that hidden trigger.

That is the thing, most Pit Terriers are very gentle. They were known to be nanny dogs (Think Little Rascals) and only got the bad rep recently because of dog fighting in the late last century when irresponsible people made them look tougher by cutting their ears and tails and doing a LOT of training.

Left to their own devices, they are pretty sweet, and not scary with floppy ears and waggy tails.

Actually, dogs, in general, are mirrors of their masters or mistresses “soul”. Dogs, like the wolves from which they sprang are ‘pack’ animals! If you have a dog in your house and you have not trained it to be subservient to YOU, the Alpha pack member, then that dog is just a walking “time bomb” which can be displayed as anywhere from refusing to come when you call to ripping your arm off, depending on the breed.

No dog should be considered “just a pet”! You want a pet? Get a goldfish. When you bring a dog into your life you’re actually forming a “Pack” and you both are governed by fairly strict rules which your new “friend” innately understands, even if you don’t!

It’s not the breed, it’s the CAPABILITY of the breed. It’s not the toddler, it’s the toddler carrying around a running chain saw that’s dangerous.

I wish I could adopt him, but I don’t want my cat to be sent to jail for dog murder…
