I hate mud. It was something I wasn’t prepared for after years of only having kitties. Our solution was to put articial turf in our dog’s kennel. It was worth every penny :-)
It’s not that hard to teach your dogs to wipe their feet. It’s all about repetition. Grab their two front paws and rub them in the direction like we wipe our feet, all the while saying wipe your feet. Do the same for the back feet. Dogs are smart, they catch on pretty quick. After that you just say wipe your feet and they do it just like when they kick their paws after a poo. It’s the same motion. Worked for my dogs.

Get off your lazy arse and walk the dog, they love it. Then you clean them up in the mud room prior to letting them into the house.

We wiped our dogs feet before they came inside, but then it seems Koko goes out and in on his own…none of our dogs ever did.
