We got rid of the built-in TV in our 2003 RV. That sucker really did feel like it weighed more than 100 pounds. We took it to the dumpster in the campground and you should have heard the “clang” when we hoisted it over the edge and let go. I think they could hear it several miles away.
We recently retired our 32" Trinitron after 23 years. (Trinitron tubes are curved in only one plane to help get rid of reflections, so they have extra thick leaded glass at the sides.) Took three strapping young men to lift it from its stand, strap it to a refrigerator dolly, and schlep it to the truck. Well over 250 pounds. Replaced it with a beautiful 4K Sceptre 75" that weighs 75 pounds and hangs on the wall. I hope it lasts as long!

Well, at least as I get older, it feels like it weighs 100 pounds.

But if the TV is in the other corner now you must move all the chairs to see the TV :-)

Wasn’t this the theme a couple days back? Pluggers have old, old console TVs?

And you’ve moved it around the living room at least 20 times.

A friend decided we needed his dad’s 52" after he went into the home. Its going to be wall mounted and there it is going to stay.

Look at the stack of newfangled hardware it takes to render that dinosaur functional!

Best use i’ve heard for a console tv cabinet when the TV dies, put doors on it and make into a liquor cabinet.
