Would you understand this comic if you hadn’t read the Magic Storm graphic novel?

Here I thought Voltina wouldn’t appear in the main comic, so as not to alienate those who never got her book.

I believe that there was one reference to Max being friends with a dragon earlier, but it doesn’t really matter. With all the magical creatures, having another one appear wouldn’t be out of place. Of course, it’s only by reading the book one would know that she feeds on electricity.

can you imagine Phoebe and friends/acquaintances at the tea party with Alice, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the Dormouse?

If it means having tea instead of soda just to hang out with these guys, fine.

Maybe people get curious about Voltina and decide to buy/read the Magic Storm? One of the better plugs, if you ask me. I know I plan to get it.

Sometimes it’s best to leave the details out.

Who’s the giant clear sparkly dragon?

I got the overt joke about a tea party with magical creatures. I had zero knowledge about the other universe until I read these comments. as asriafeeple said, good plug, I will now go check it out.

Well boys today learn that Friendships of all types and with varying activities is Magic.

Truth be told I would if been fine with taking part in one in the day, but hopefully the tea wouldn’t taste like twigs/leaves (step sister offered me some for a cold earlier in this decade and that’s my first taste impression when my sense of smell came back).

I never read The Magic Storm, but it reminds me a bit of The Reluctant Dragon. Didn’t Disney’s short have a tea party?

In ancient times and in the Middle Ages (and not just in Europe), folks probably wouldn’t have considered the above scene unusual at all—although it wouldn’t have been thought to be a common occurrence—(except for how Phoebe and Max are dressed, and Max’s glasses), although the fact that they had dragon companions might cause concern, in some places…

Where are the things that go “Blaart?”

I’m surprised Dakota and her goblins aren’t there. They LOVE tea parties!
