I like to look at the bottoms of receipts and say, “Oh, good! I was hoping Pierre and Natasha would get together! They’ve both had such hard lives …” [cf the person looking at the top and saying, “Call me Ishmael …”
CVS cashiers don’t like it when you say you don’t need the receipts. They practically insist, telling you that you’ll be missing out on all the great discounts.
As I just replied on another comment: You can now have CVS email you the receipt instead. So much more environmentally friendly and also you can still take advantage of the deals by adding the coupons to your CVS card by clicking the coupon in the email. Everything is done digitally now. 99% of the coupons I use at CVS are on my card and not something that I printed out.

Must be CVS receipts. You buy one item and you get a yard of “coupons”.

Why? What did you do to them, Norm?

I think Circuit City (R.I.P.) still holds the record for l-o-n-g register receipts. (In duplicate, too)
