I declared independence from my parents, Thursday, July 10,1990. I left the Atlantic Coast and arrived on the Pacific Coast. I knew it was a one way trip. 6 months later, and up until his lying on his deathbed, 20 years later, October 26, 2010, my father wanted to know when was I moving back “home.”
I moved out of my father’s house and far away on Thursday, July 10.1990. I declared my independence, and after soon 32 years, have only been back to the east coast 5 separate times. Each time was for less than 7 days. I escaped his cruelty.
