Beet casserole?

This was probably originally published on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was on November 22 this year and will be on November 28 next year. That is a one year and 6 day gap — the longest possible.

I’m curious about how Petey’s pickiness works with regard to beet casserole. Hopefully he understands that you have to eat a little to please Grandma.

On the other hand, Grandma may make it just to mess with them.

I’d be amazed if Petey touched the stuff…

I realize I’m probably going against the flow here, but I love beets in all their manifestations – boiled, baked, casseroled, pickled, hot or cold. They’re just darned tasty.

I made a handprint turkey using my foot!

I think Petey is hoping that he’ll lose consciousness.

Grandma spent the morning in the kitchen with Michael Jackson.

Well, pickle my beets, at least he was able to cover his dismay with “How very, very maroon it is.”

One can hope Petey, one can hope.

I just love a dysfunctional family Thanksgiving dinner!
