AMEN to that.

I scan the headlines in the paper and listen to the weather. Life is so much calmer and more productive without being glued to the tv.

to me it is not as scary as it is sickening,uncivil,disgusting, ridiculous, farfetched,stupid, maddening, false, half truths, or in text language -- “sudrfsmfh” -—hmmm that sounds exactly like my muttering when I read that – sudrfsmfh news :)

First Trump came for the womenAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not a woman.

Then Trump came for the people with disabilitiesAnd I did not speak outBecause I did not have a disability.

Then Trump came for the African AmericansAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not African American.

Then Trump came for the MexicansAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not Mexican.

Then Trump came for the MuslimsAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not Muslim.

Then Trump came for the gay, bi, and trans peopleAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not gay, bi or trans.*

Then Trump came for the journalistsAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not a journalist.*

Then Trump came for the judgesAnd I did not speak outBecause I was not a judge.

And now Trump is coming for the Constitution of the United StatesAnd if I do not speak out, what am I?

that is the job of the news, to frighten us. Then we have to keep logging on to see what is happening next. Not like we have much power over doing anything about much of it.
