Be glad you’re using snow instead of rocks.

How many times? As many as it takes until you learn to take one step to the left before the snowball comes back down. It’s not just gravity being tested here.

We can see the gravity of the situation.

But the gravitational field, which is what they are measuring here, is quite variable, and its measurement is useful for mineral exploration, cruise missile guidance, etc.

There is a story about a man who was putting up an antenna and dragged his tools up the ladder one by one. He decided to rig up a pulley system and hoisted a barrel to the top of the ladder to put the tools in. Only thing is that the tools weighed more than he did. So when he got on the ground and pulled on the rope, the tools pulled him up. This was just the beginning of a series of mishaps that happened.

Does anyone have this story? I could probably re-create it from memory. I heard it almost 50 years ago.

When my son was in little league one of the coaches was a bit of a nut case. His way of encouraging the kids to overcome their fear of the ball was to toss it up into the air and let it hit the top of his head. It was a hollow sounding kind of thunk.

BC must be in the same universe as Road Runner. Gravity is actually proportional to the inverse square of distance.

Gravity is constant ACCELERATION. The higher you toss it, the faster it’s going when it hits his face!

Ha! I’ve perfected an infallible gravity detector, made of my new wonder alloy Gravitium! When I hang it from this string (another invention of mine) it infallibly points toward the center of the earth!

So they have been informed about ‘gravity’ by the hidden educator computer and are now testing it.

Want it to stop? Switch places with Peter and he’ll immediately determine that it is enough.
