We have two cats and two carriers. If we take just one carrier out, they both investigate and appear to discuss the implications.

Sis’s new boss Onyx dodged a visit to the Dreaded V.E.T. on Tuesday by disappearing into an undisclosed location. She did get there yesterday & was remarkably chill for her checkup, even let the Dreaded V.E.T. shave her belly & find her spay scar.

As for the carrier…she’s confined to the bathroom for a couple of days to let her Seresto collar work on the fleas. Sis sent a video this morning of Onyx with her motor running, face-marking everything – especially the carrier!

Cats always don’t like the vet.

Several times, as soon as I got the carrier out, the cat who had the vet appointment disappeared … only to reappear promptly after I’d called the clinic to cancel the appointment.

“Is this the party to whom I am speaking?”

Mittens must have found a really good hiding place.
