Has somebody been doing autopsies on whales to come up with that factoid?

Another Believe it Not. Israel is 8,019 sq mi, while Anna Creek Station is 9,142 sq mi.. A little larger not twice the size. A.C.S. is almost 2,000,000 acres! 1,977,000 according to Wikipedia. On a side note, New York State’s Adirondack Park is 6.3 million acres.

Tetris worked right up until that cigarette shaped piece shows up!

The Tetris illustration looks like a Japanese man playing a Japanese arcade cabinet, so it’s quite likely he was smoking WHILE playing Tetris.

Yes, very strange Tetris illustration, as pointed out by Nathan Daniels. I doubt, though, if the player was smoking so much as contemplating his next move.

As a matter of fact they are doing autopsies on whales. They just found a dead sperm whale in Indonesia and it had ingested 13 lbs of plastic.

Wouldn’t playing just about any game lower your urge to smoke; unless it’s a smoking or drinking game.

As mentioned above, Anna Creek Station is over 9,000 sq mi; Israel just barely over 8,000 sq mi. That’s WAY more than 2,000,000 acres (it’s nearly 6,000,000 acres). The Wikipedia entry mentioned says ACS is 3 million acres larger than it’s nearest rival, Alexandria Station.

9142 sq mi would be between the size of Puerto Rico and Cyprus.

King’s Ranch in Texas, USA is officially listed as 825,000 acres (almost 1300 sq mi), tho it has other holdings, totaling at least 1.2 million acres – and used to own a ranch [Brunette Downs Station] in Australia that, while much smaller than ACS, back in 1918 was nearly 5500 sq mi (long before it was bought by King’s Ranch in 1958. Adding it’s 5000+ to KR (at that time ~2000); but 7000 or so is still way less than ACS’ 9000.

One last thing: in the US, Ted Turner appears to have conceded title of largest landowner to John Malone (they used to go back and forth intentionally being #1 & #2), each having over 2 million acres. Pipsqueaks compared to some people in other parts of the world.

I also read about a study that one should consider playing Tetris after a traumatic experience.
