I have an “emergency 20” bill hidden in my room (hidden from visiting kids). I know it’s there, but it’s for “pizza-guy at the door and an empty wallet” crisis or similar. Same as I keep a “Toll and coffee” stash of five singles in my visor in the car. Keeps from having to dig for my wallet, but you have to keep it replenished.
