Elliott, you must consider the multitude of challenges your father faced while preparing that sumptuous repast. Unpacking the ingredients from their cleverly designed container. Following the complex directions for preparing the meal. Heating the ingredients to the proper temperature without burning them. And many other things.

Mac & cheese with pickle relish.

As far as I’m concerned the box is just the beginning. I like to add a couple of different cheeses, some spinach, maybe some chicken, tuna or other white meat seafood, catfish or cod for example, salsa or teriyaki depending on my mood. As far as eating directly out of the box I reserve that for frozen dinners.

Favorite box food(s)? – Pizza from a box. A box of Chinese food. A box of cereal.
