The plot better thicken pretty quick, for this seems as thin as some of the old radio situation comedies from back in the ’40’s (which I’m listening to presently, btw)

Hey, Skeezix-, you might want to start believing they mean to enforce the rules they post on the signs.

Old Skeez has no one to blame but himself.

You should have moved that car, that tux is really costing you.

SO much is wrong with this one:- He’ storming back in because he “got another” ticket, yet the guy is shown writing it.- He was there to pay his ticket and they were closed.- He’s obviously parked in a no parking zone, so why is he getting mad?- We SAW him walk from the tuxedo place, past the Santa, and into the building.

And there’s a ticket on his windshield. What’s the guy writing out?

Nit-pick time here: If the city hall offices were closed, and it was the holiday season, (unless Skeezix came back later?), there should have been plenty of parking available, yes? And the sign was clearly visible…

I do like the background art of Panel 1 – much like an older city hall, with checkered tile floors and marbled wainscoting.

And just WHO is ‘Ida Claire’?! ;)

This is getting old. Skeezix isn’t usually shown as either this dumb or this unreasonable.

This is bordering on the Theater Of The Absurd.. Actually, it’s just around the corner…. 8^)

As the astute and perceptive Doctor West’s Medicine Show And Junk Band (featuring Norman Greenbaum) observed on a Go-Go label 45 in late 1966, “You can’t fight city hall. Baby, you ain’t gonna win. You’re gonna lose! You’re gonna wind up with them city hall blues”. Great and timeless advice, which Skeezix would do well to heed.
