I think tackle may be a poor word choice.

I love DIY and make my own furniture. I’ve also rewired the cellar for workshop lighting and things like that. When it comes to serious stuff like plumbing or new windows etc., I call a professional. Used to watch a show where professionals would come in to finish a DIY project that the person had started years ago and never finished.

    1) I love old houses.

    2) I am not wealthy. Therefore,

    3) Whatever I’m doing for a living, I’m also a carpenter, a painter, a plasterer, a roofer, a glazier, an electrician, a painter, a plumber……..

And I enjoy all of them – except plumbing. I hate plumbing, and plumbing hates me.

Wives of men who can do it all, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, auto repair, etc., rarely appreciate it.

Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, appliances, garage doors, insect control, lawn mower and chainsaw repair, automotive repair.. are all easy. Drywall and painting are hard because they are trained skilled trades.

Nobody has said anything about architectural or engineering drawings. If this is anything more than a minor remodeling, I suspect such would be a good idea.
