No, Alice, I don’t think so. But designated clowning hours are 12 PM to 9 PM without a permit, so if he doesn’t get serious then, you will have to call the Sheriff.

You should have spotted this behavior earlier.

    Are you serious, Alice?

Perhaps if you join him, flopped over the couch…..

you can turn that frown upside down.

Dennis is right… clowning hours end at 9pm.

But as your acting Sheriff, at least until the Monkey gets home (and may I say, yesterday won’t be soon enough for that… )

I have to tell you that I am seriously not in favor of seriousness…

and considering that our real Sheriff is an actual Monkey….

…a creature that we all know nothing is as much fun as a barrel of….

I would have to surmise that there are not many folks in the B.C.Sheriff’s Department currently willing to prosecute that particular crime.

Arthur might get a warning, or at most, a double fee with a 27% penalty when he does apply for a (or renew his possibly existing) permit.

But as a 24-hour clowning permit runs 78¢ per year, due to our desire to encourage Ballard County to remain a happy place….

I doubt the deterrent effect will be too great.

When it comes to clowning, Arthur is spot on.

Well, that’s it. I have liked all previous comments. You can’t improve on perfection, and I’m not going to try.

Before you trust him try a little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down his pants and see how he reacts. If he doesn’t giggle, his words aren’t worth peanuts!

When he was a young boy, he ran away from home. Went to join the circus. He’s reading molly’s letters. the ink is faded and the page is truning yellow.
