Well, to answer the original question, my nickname in 7th and 8th grade was “Fizzie” since I was the first in my school to actually use one of those tablets in my thermos to generate a fresh carbonated drink. I was really happy to shed that moniker when my folks moved into the city when I was accepted into a high school there. (It was close to my Father’s job also.) Unfortunately, during my sophomore year speech class, I gave a presentation about the decline of steam power on Class I railroads. This was about the same time that a prime time cartoon show called Top Cat was airing. One of the characters was called Choo Choo, and that was my nickname for the rest of high school. Haven’t had a nickname since.
