A recent news blurb out of Italia shows they have managed to straighten it up several degrees.

I think the Tower of Pisa has been through several earthquakes, so it is well constructed. Its just the foundation that was not firm enough.
When I was a kid, I liked to call it the Leaning Tower of Pizza. Now I think that would be a name I would use if I opened a Pizza shop.
