Now, that is a really true statement, which I have thought about for years…

I like that cranky old guy is wearing his slippers outside. I’ma gonna start doing that.

How many other cartoonists had day jobs, where your coworkers found out you were a cartoonist, and told you that you should do a strip about them, because there was no other work place as crazy and unique?

Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing just yesterday.

I’m sorry, but I don’t like the way this comic is drawn now, looks like a child is drawing it, I know what I’m talking about, cause I’ve been drawing my whole life, and have watched/followed Nancy almost as long. again I’m sorry.

Damn. This is so good and yet so…. so utterly demoralizing and sad as well. We inherently need in our own psyche to feel like we have value and are significant in some fashion. Without that kernel of gut-level feeling, it is exhausting to go through the day-to-day lives we lead. But, from a “greater scheme of things” perspective…. we are not really ANYTHING other than being akin to an insignificant “bacteria” on the planet and in turn the planet is an insignificant speck in the greater universe. When examined too closely from this perspective, you can truly understand how easy it is to lose hope.

People want and need to feel they are interesting. But, the reality is so different. :(

This is why my resting expression is kind of unhappy looking: I’m constantly pitying all those folks who aren’t me. Poor suffering bastiches… and they don’t even realize it!

Nancy couldn’t be in better hands. The esoteric ways it is going is a marvelous chance. But not for everyone. I am sorry for those that do not grok Nancy.
