Again, I was vilified for showing the boys ogling the girls…but hey, it’s what we do! The boys look at the girls and the girls look at the boys, and everyone wants that look to be full of potential. We wear attractive clothes, we do attractive things and the word “attractive” says it all. The critical letters I received made me wonder. Did these writers never enjoy the heart-stopping rush of a teenaged crush, or even enjoy an appreciative glance? I think if we search our collective memories, we’ll all see ourselves in these images of kids longing to be noticed by other kids!
I once encountered a seemingly well mannered and unassuming gentleman in his 70s, who told me that he started singing in musicals when he was 15. I commented that it was interesting that he found his calling at that point. His response? “Nah. I just liked being on the risers, so I could check out all of the blondes in the audience!” Some things never change…..

If school spirit matters to the cheerleaders then they might want to be friendly. Is a smile and a hello so hard?

The hormones in the food are much to blame. Childhood is more and more fleeting. My friend’s granddaughter is 9 and looks 14.

She plays castanets, she works without a net
I like her better when she walks away
She turns me on like a pick up truck
