I remember another “Garfield” strip where G. & Odie are watching a TV report where a reporter asks random people which is smarter between cats and dogs. They were surprised to hear of a boy saying pigs are smarter than either one.

Jon is one example of Garfields point. The others are cricket players and people who play Fortnite

Now I like Garfield and all, but dogs are more intelligent than cats. Humans are the most intelligent creatures on Earth. However we should not get intelligence confused with being smart or wise.

Being intelligent means you actually seek to understand what you know and the way things work. Being smart is ”quick, active, clever.”

Actually, while I find cats to be very interesting, smart isn’t a quality I’d think of. I have two cats that regularly take a meal at my abode and they often amaze me with their stupidity. They’ll fight over one saucer of food even though I’ve provided a saucer of food for each of them. I often have to drag one over to her saucer for them to realize that another exists.

Google result: Here’s the dirt on pigs: They are perhaps the smartest, cleanest domestic animals known – more so than cats and dogs, according to some experts.
