This is the one time the kid needs to at least pretend to be good. One year my Santa list was so big, my mother declared I’d only get one present, so pick one. I chose the microscope. I kept that for many years. I now only have the subjective lens which is a super magnifier, good for my old age.
When I was around 9, I got a wind up train and track. My dad and 2 uncles set it up for me and I think I had to wait over half an hour before they let me play with it.

Hope your writing is better than mine is. Santa could never read my list. It has gotten worse with age, now sometimes, I’m not sure what I’d written.
